If you could redesign your square, how would it be?

 

Victoria Square Project invites you on Tuesday, July 05, at 19:00, for the presentation of the results of the project “Meet me in the square?”. 

 

“Meet me in the square?” is a series of outdoors workshops for children ages 6-12 aiming to familiarise children with public space and architecture principles by using them as a tool in co-designing and creating through a participatory design process. 

 

The presentation will take place on the pedestrian in front of Elpidos 13, along with a display of the models in small scale created during the program. An open discussion will follow with the participants, educators and architects working on the subject of Children - Architecture - Public space and participatory design. 

 

“Meet me on the square?” was designed and implemented in two cycles by Dafni Crema and Marina Naki during the period of May to October 2021.It was implemented in 3 public spaces in the 6th Municipal District of Athens, Agiou Georgiou square, Fokionos Negri and Protomagia Square. Additionally, special editions of the program were presented in the framework of “We Apologize” public program and “TRiKiKLO”. 

 

It took place in the framework of Victoria NOW educational sector of Victoria Square Project.

Victoria NOW is an interdisciplinary program of modern creation, inspiration, and empowerment. Victoria NOW, through the discussion of the city, the public space and everything that constitutes the cultural identity of NOW, aims to highlight the citizens of NOW. Contemporary art and artistic creation, function as a bridge of connection and creative expression , and acquisition of new stimuli and abilities.
