The young creators of the Victoria Square Project exhibit their works.

The Victoria Square Project on Friday, July 15 launched the children's art exhibition "The little Victorians show their artworks". The works of the exhibition will be on display until Saturday, August 27, most of which you will be able to admire even from the windows of the space.

The exhibition consists of works by children 5-16 years old, who participated in the interdisciplinary program "Victoria NOW", as well as in daily meetings in the "Living Room" of the Victoria Square project. The works on display are just a sample of the great work created by the children of our community from September 2021 to June 2022.

"Victoria NOW '' is one of the axes of the Victoria Square Project and aims to design and implement educational programs of inspiration and empowerment for children and young people. The program is designed around the research question "Who is the contemporary Athenian?". The educational programs designed and conducted in this context from September 2021 to June 2022 and of which some works are exhibited are "Art Seasons", "Victoria travels to…" and "Victoria goes on holidays".

On the other hand, VSP's "Living Room" is the living room of the neighborhood, a space open to all, a meeting point for the community, highlighting the importance of everyday practices, such as an invitation for coffee or tea, as a means of connection and care. There, the children of Elpidos and nearby streets, make daily appointments for playing on the pedestrian street and for sharing moments of artistic creation.

During the year, in the educational programs but also in the children's daily visit to the space, art was a tool to activate dialogue and expression. The children learned about the art and culture of the countries of origin of the communities that make up our neighborhood, they developed critical thinking, personal speech and observation and finally, they collaborated with each other for collective projects and for common goals.

Therefore, concluding this year, we want to dedicate this exhibition to the young creators who contributed significantly to the development of our community, highlighting their work and exhibiting it in a space that has hosted the works of contemporary creators from Greece and abroad.
